The Name Translation Bible
Names fill the pages of the Bible and are often ignored, especially in the long, seemingly endless genealogies. Yet because the Bible is full of names, names must also be important to the One who breathed the inspiration of this Holy Writing. Names identify, have meaning and often tell a story. The Name Translation (TNT) is a version of the Bible where every name is defined directly in the text to allow the readers to understand each verse in a new perspective.

The theological train I am most attached with has often interpreted blasphemy of the Holy Spirit as accrediting the works of Jesus to the devil. This is a solid interpretation, taken directly from context, but it fails to flow with the basic principles found in the rest of the Bible. Theologians should practice a core value that requires every doctrine to be established by the evidence of two or three witnesses. There is not enough evidence to establish a doctrine that people can commit an unforgivable sin. But Satan and his angels… that is another story!
Are There Two Powers in Heaven?
Influential Jewish scholars have discovered that Jews in the times of Jesus believed in a heavenly second power who would bring the kingdom of God to earth. The writers of the New Testament understood that this second power in heaven was Jesus Christ, the awaited Messiah. After the destruction of the 2nd Temple, Jews who believed that there were two powers in heaven were deemed heretical and banished from the synagogue. Yet this belief is foundational to the New Testament.
